GIKI Ride: Terms and Conditions

Campus Affiliation: You must be a registered student or affiliate of the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) to use this platform. You must register using a valid .edu.pk email address.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

User Roles: You may use the platform as a Rider (booking seats), a Driver (offering seats), or a Vendor (offering platform-approved services). Your responsibilities change based on your active role.

The Platform Fee: To maintain and operate the service, GIKI Ride applies a standard 3% platform fee to all transactions processed through the app.

Payments: All payments must be settled through the agreed-upon methods within the platform. Off-platform transactions to bypass the platform fee are strictly prohibited and will result in account suspension.

Vehicle & Licensing: You must possess a valid driver’s license and ensure your vehicle is legally registered, insured, and safe to operate.

Punctuality & Route: You agree to depart at the posted time and drop Riders at the agreed-upon destination.

Capacity: You must not accept more Riders than the legal seatbelt capacity of your vehicle.

Timeliness: You must be at the designated pickup spot at the scheduled time. Drivers are not obligated to wait for late Riders.

Respect: You agree to treat the Driver’s vehicle with respect. Any damage caused by a Rider is the financial responsibility of that Rider.

Fulfillment: Vendors operating through GIKI Ride must accurately describe their goods or services and fulfill accepted orders promptly.

Compliance: Vendors must adhere to all campus regulations regarding the sale and distribution of goods.

Zero Tolerance: Harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior of any kind will not be tolerated.

Prohibited Items: Transporting illegal substances, weapons, or hazardous materials is strictly forbidden.

Reporting: Users are encouraged to report any unsafe conditions or violations of these terms immediately through the app.

Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that using GIKI Ride involves inherent risks, including traffic accidents. You agree to use the service at your own risk.

No Endorsement: GIKI Ride does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of any ride or service provided by Users. We are solely a software facilitator.
